Hi, thanks for your reply. I have quite a bit of common sense about cars or engines, but I have no idea where the Idle air control valve is. Is it the part that connects to the air intake pipe that goes into the engine. I know there is a sensor there which monitors how much air is going in to the engine.
The only other thing I thought it could possibly be would be the fact its only a little 1.4 focus engine and maybe its finding it hard to give enough power to get everything going when its cold. Its a bit of a long shot but I have taken the fuse out of my amplifier just to see if it makes any sort of difference. The power on the car (either engine or altornator) are none too good and frequently do things like dim headlights when you put the breaks on whilst coasting doing anything over 20. Strange power realted things like that.
Anyway thanks for the post, and if you could give me any info as to where the sensor is, I will see if I can clean it up.
