my ignorance stems from wondering why the guy throwing the ball in, doesn't simply throw it towards his own men so they
do have the ball. if he did that then it would seem that all his team had to do would be to try an 'hold the line' but if they felt like they were getting out powered, to back heel it and then off they go again??? basically, why does he not just throw it towards his own team?
