FFS - this mail has done the rounds for so long now - at least as long as I have been driving - and thats 8yrs!

It will never work for the reasons already stated above....

1) Buyers do not control the market place - the government does (at least as far as fuel goes)

2) Virtually nobody would boycott any particular petrol station/company if it is going to inconvenience them - I mean you live in a little town, the only fuel station for 20-30miles is a single ESSO - you gonna boycott it are you?

3) Not buying fuel won't make the fuel companies lower prices - as said, they have a tiny percentage of the cost of a litre anyway, it's the government that keep inflating the duty on fuel making it more expensive

4) Not buying fuel only hurts us anyway, as we need it. And "time period" boycotts are the most pointless thing ever. I know, lets not buy fuel this week. Then the following week, twice as much fuel is bought. Yeah, good one
