Isnt there 2.8 V6 turbo 250bhp and 250lbft+ of torque?

I cant see how its POSSIBLE to lose torque going from n/a to turbo on any engine, the v.e. of a turbo car is always miles better.
yea there is a 2.8, but the 3.0 as found in the Omega had 207bhp and 199 lbft, this was then put in the Saab and turbo charged.

I got it wrong way round tho It lost bhp (down to 197bhp) and torque rose to 229lbft.
