why not approach your boss, and present him with a case why you feel you should get a payrise, good worker, reliable, and feel you deserve more cash. Don't mention other people, just focus on why you think you deserve a payrise. If he gives you one you have a bit more ammo to ask for more wages at the other place, if he dosn't then you can take the other job
