hi i have changed the intercooler on my st escos to a rs500 style one, and there was a sensor on the old one but nowhere to screw it in the the new one.

1. what does it do because i tried driving with out it plumbed in and the car dont wanna boost like it used too?
2. has any one done this before and any ideas about where too fit it??
