i went and seen someone at connexxtions (think thats how they spell it) and found a course at uni that was good for me, needed to do a foundation year first though as i had no a levels, am now in my second year of a mechanical engineering degree and get pretty much the same as what shings above gets and will be doing a placement year next year.

i work part time aswell though so that helps alot, but i manage with my own house and car etc so it is do-able it can be difficult at times trying to fit everything in though.

student finance direct deal with the loans and grants so their website is a good place to look.
