Default FAO:- All going to Bruntingthorpe on Wednesday.

Hi all,

Just to make you all aware, following on from the serious accident that happened with the Focus recently at Bruntingthorpe(nothing to do with FastFord) FastFord magazine have asked me to supply a dedicated Medical/Rescue team for their future events there. This will in no way hinder the day's fun and will hopefully make the day's seem a little more exciting.

We will be having a Rescue Unit at the start of the runway and a chase car to follow all Top Speed runs at a safe distance behind. This is a similar principle to how we covered the British Land Speed events.

Looking forward to a safe day, please all keep an eye on your tyres, The Focus accident may have been due to a tyre blow out, and HSE have released there report on Hammonds crash which may also have been attributed to similar. This is an excellent pro-active approach by FastFord to protect you all at an event like this that will obviously have a high risk factor.

See you all on wednesday, here's a pic of the team with our Rescue Unit in the background, also of our chase/response car.

Andy
