Serious topic please peoples - keep it that way.

I've been having real problems with my cat for most of this year, and he keeps pee'ing in the house. I've tried everything - pheromone plug-ins, chill pills from the vet, quiet room, keeping him inside so he doesn't get stressed etc. The problem is there are loads and loads of cats round here and Buster (my cat) is afraid of his own shadow and won't stand up for himself.

I woke up to loads more piss and another carpet ruined this morning, and that's all I can take. The only option that I can see now is to re-home him which I don't want to do. I love the little fella to bits and if I have to let him go I'll be in absolute tatters. Hence why I need some sensible bright ideas.

I'm open to anything sensible guys.
