Right, mate has just got a cossie but its smoking quite badly when you come off the throttle. There is no smoke at all on start up or normal driving ......when youve been on boost and lift off only then does it start to smoke a lot then when you go back on the throttle you get a puff too.
I think i can eliminate rings coz it would smoke all the time but not sure if its turbo or valve guides.

Any advice welcome before he spends money on the wrong bits
