Too many people these days think that just because a car has an mot it must be in tip top condition when in reality this can be nowhere near the truth.

Had a guy come in the other day complaining about a lack of power with his Ford Ka, told him by the look of things under the bonnet it had obviously not been serviced for quite some time as the plugs were as rusty as fuck and looked like they had not been changed since god was a boy !! Also happened to mention to him that his sump was rotten andleaking oil all over the forecourt where he was parked. Well fuck me he didnt half go off on one and ranted and raved about how could his car be in such a state as it had just gone through the mot a couple of months ago and all these things that were wrong with it should have been sorted, is this not what you pay for when you buy an mot he says !!!!! What the fuck !!!!


An mot is only based on how the vehicle is at time of presentation and a car can be in a pretty ropey condition and still pass, you have to be really sure that whatever item you are failing the vehicle on is definately a failure or you can very easily end up in the shit over it, if in doubt as to actually failing a component, pass and advise i was taught, and this was told to me by a VOSA inspector !!!
