I have used Eagle F1, TOYO T1R/S.
Eagles are better, but NOT the best Goodyear, if you can still get VENTURA, as it makes the F1 look as though it is on ICE compared to these in the wet.
T1R is much quieter, smoother, grippier in the dry(but not wet), but does not last as long, does not white line as bad though.
Out of 4 F1's I bought three developed sidewall bulges, no damage at all, bulged from inside out, and this is not uncommon.
I have T1R's on the astra at the mo, but may try F1's on it next.
Another tyre to consider is the UNIROYAL RAINSPORT 1, these knock spots off the F1/T1R, are about 95% as grippy in the dry, but way ahead in the wet and last well too.
I have them on my sapphy, 2wd 400bhp.
