I wouldn't have let it go
The fact it's been in an accident is ittelevent if repaired properly - what's the poing in worrying over something so trivial compared to this kind of mess!

If you paid for it and got receipt etc for it, it's all down to civil dispute, if bought at auction is a different matter anyway
