i allways hated rotties till i met my mates got to be the biggest one i ever seen and what a lovely dog he is too soft as muck and he all ways does as he is told all though as said you do need to be firm from what i seen as they do push the boundries but other wise well behaved.having said that the bloke over the road from him owns 8 of them all penned up on the back garden and these are proper dogs (he trains them for guuard dogs,security etc) i been on his garden with them all all growling and snarling and that was intimidating i tell you but then again these are guuard dogs so they do what they trained to do .
