looking at upgrading my plasma in the near future so want to get a decent one.

have been looking at a 1080p panasonic plasma, but wonder if its worth it if only stopping 42". is it really noticable on a 42" between say 720p/1080i/1080p or would I be more beneficial to get a 50" 1080p plasma?

would also use a ps3 on it for blu-ray films...
