Rudey....you can do a course for about a year, learn the basics and blag your way as a brickie on site easily. I think more brickies out there have done it this way rather than a fully trained apprecticeship!!! Thing is, unless your workin with an experienced brickie, youll make fook all money. I.e..we put 5 bedroom detached house up in 15 days...or a pair of 3 bed semis in 15 days. This makes us 2k per week to share. Thats 700 each for me and mate and 600 for labourer. After a years course youd be struggling to get a 5 bed detached up to the first floor joists in 15 days!!! So find a decent brickie who will pull ya along till ya get the finesse!
