My missus eats at all funny times of the day and not really into a routine, all she does when she's uncomfortable with her weight is use the weightwatchers book and point things out and eat xxx amount of points in a day, some days she might be short so a bar of chocolate or something to make up, or other days close to the limit so fruit and veg to pack things out. You don't have to miss out on anything, you can still eat take aways and processed stuff. Think the book cost a tenner, but anything and everything is listed in there as to how many points it is, so you work out how many points you can have a day via a table from the front of book and go from there. It is easy, I've just lost half a stone in four weeks and i only stuck to it six days a week, as the seventh i was eating takeaways and spending some time in the pub
