Well when I say processed, I mean she works in a supermarket, so she will buy pre made stuff off the shop floor for lunch, I agree totally with everything you have said, but there are two issues, I need to get her to eat regular and in routine, but shes not fond of eating breakfast, so what can she thats light in the morning? She does eat alot of fruit, but she doesnt eat alot in general (food i mean not fruit). And the second is, with the mixed shifts, I can get her to just about eat at regular times if I work out a plan, but getting the main meal in the afternoon is the difficult bit, I understand why you recommend this as then she will have more of the day to burn off the excess energy, but her mixed shif she is either in work at 1:30 or that is half an hour before her start depending on her shift, so any recommendations on that?
I mean so far I have come up with making her sleep into a routine to get her food right, this is something I will do alongside her, not that I am particularly looking to lose weight, but to support her, so I was thinking:
Get up at 7:30 and have Breakfast within 1 hour (she def wont eat straight away, but as long as its within the first hour then she will be ok, as I heard this first hour helps the metabolism get up and running, e.g. any later and it doesnt get going properly through out the day).
Then Lunch at 1 (so even if she is at work this is a nice sort of time, but is shes in at 2 and it takes her 30 minutes to get in she still has time to have a nice lunch and get ready).
Then Tea at 7ish, again depends on the shift (latest she finishes is 10 and it takes 30 minutes to commute and I heard that you should never eat within the 3 hours prior to going to bed, but on an earlier shift she wil finish at half 6 so by the time she gets home then she can have food and be in bed by 11).
I mean I dont want to control her life so really she can chose when she wants to get up or go to bed, but I thought this was the best way to regulate food intake and help gain some routine, let me know what you think......
