To be fair, he wasn't the worst player out there tonight by a long shot...but it just didn't look a balanced midfield

Personally i'd have Gerrard and Hargreaves in the middle with Joe Cole left and Becks/Wright Phillips on the right ( SWP actually looks like he could be a good player again lol )

and STOP all this bollocks about needing a holding player!! it just encourages defensive play and you don't win matches by not attacking!!

Hargreves has the energy to help the defense out if needed...but also help start attacking play by giving the ball to Gerrard
