Thats the trouble with Sven/McClown he plays a full strength team as much as he can in friendlies just to get the public onside, and will even make mistakes like playing Gerrard on the RW or Carragher in the RB when Rio or Terry are out only to go on and put King and Woodgate in CB even know they've been out injured for ages. Same with Michael Owen, out injured yet walks back into the team for Germany WC gets injured again and now is walking back into the team not squad but team yet again. It seems England is a reserves practice for Newcastle. I thought it was supposed to be that if you play well you get selected and if you play poor for England you get benched and someone else gets a go. Sadly names talk, forever.

Rooney and Owen both got rushed back from major injury simply because we did not give the others a chance in friendlies.
