I've got a similar problem with mine with the traction control light on. I have swapped the faulty part but the light is still illuminated.

I have tried the hard reset method by disconnecting the battery, so i'm now left with booking it in to Frauds @ £70 plus VAT to get it on their machine.

Have you checked that your ABS sensor is sat flush and connected up firmly?

I'd try disconnecting the battery for 20 mins first and see what happens from there. Make sure you know your radio code before you do it though.
