was only my 1.3 but with turbo kit,
was lowered 40mm on 17's, looked quite tastefull i think




my current si on 17's
dont know how low as its on coilovers, would say around 60mm there



quite a bit of trial and error trimming involved
but thats totally up to you, fitting 17's makes it feel slightly slower accelerating and would'nt say your handling is affected once you sort the rubbing as the wider tyres grip well.

when i went back to 15's it felt a bit quicker but was'nt if you know what i mean, used to having little dabbles with mates and it did'nt make a difference just felt better.

i've got 16's now with 195/40 profiles and feels really simular to 15's
