i have owned my s1 for over 2 years now and one thing that keeps bothering me is the missing floor number well half of it atleast the second half is welded over and when i look under the car u can see a build up of weld with rust around it like there has been a hole that has been patched up the car did have the floor number plus 4 more underneath stamped on the strut tops before i rebuilt the front end the vin plate is there but not original where they are stamped from the rear but it is a proper ford one and looks like it has been stamped proffesional plus the glass is stamped the same as the reg i also have the logbook mots back to 1995 plus a hpi which i clear apart from a wright of in 92 does anybody no where you stand legaly with this as i have put a lot of time and money into the car and dont want it to be taken of me by police
