whys that?? how is that strange in any way? people run all sorts of bmw up the strip from 320's to m6's

how a 335d is strange i dont know.. not know much about modern diesels?

to somebody who knows nothing about cossies, will think a old sierra a strang choice of car to run on the strip
strange choice? strange choice because ,no mater how good a modern diesel engine is, they do not rev, and as they dont rev it means that you have to change gear more often, if you have to change gear more often, that is more time of the throttle, there for a strange car to use as a 1/4 mile car.

sorry i dont get why you would run a pretty much standard car down the pod, surely the idea of running a car down the pod is to be able to distinguish the differance between yours and a otherwise standard car?
to find out what the standard car can do, then compare with after a re-map

there is a good atricle in this months evo mag about acceleration and torque

it doesnt need to rev, its got gurangatan torque, it revs very quickly around the counter and is doing 0-60 in approx 5.5-5.8 secs and does the ton in mid to low 13's

are you forgetting diesels win le-mans??

2 335d's entered nurburgring 24hours to
