Apparently the guy was told teh standard Ford one was pants and didn't last that long (I've never seen one fail outside of stupid jubilee clip use).

He has also said that the specialist hose company told him it would be fine. I have my suspicions that the company sold him what they had rather than what was right.

Don't want to argue with the guy as he's a nice chap, just don't want to see him in a potentially oily and expensive mess through poor advice
