do you know whats involved in doing a conversion

i take it yours is just the bog std carb model escort

so from that you need

engine complete with turbo inlet
gearbox
metering unit
fuel pump and cradle
fuel tank
fuel lines
brakes front and rear
rad and intercooler
boost and water hoses
bushes may aswell uprate them, as you needto change roll bar
exhaust
complete wiring loom, not just engine the complete lot

so if you want someone to do the work, they will have to completely gut the car removing virtually everything

thisis the killer is the labour, its not a hard conversion and very simple but doing the work takes time and is say around 4 weeks done properly

i done a efi conversion ona lads cabby already had the frst engine, so needed to strip and replace loom to complete efi and re wire to use ofab mangement

fit rad, cooler, turbo exhaust and other general bits and bobs, wiring up boost gauges and other shit he kept adding

as he was put onto to me from a mate i done him a good deal around £400

if i was to ever do one again it will be almost double as i also supplied parts that i didnt charge him for

as i said its asimple conversion but costly due to the amount of work involved

and then you can have teh problems of things not working etc, so more time sorting that out and the bill could be even higher

what you need to do is sit down and work out how much everything is going to cost you in parts excatly what you need

and then get quotes on labour charges to do the work

then see if its cheaper to just go buy a rst
