The way I look at it, is that these guys are keeping their cars in this condition............for me to buy in a few years time. Keep it up guys.
It's also one of the reasons I never got into the Show Scene (Concourse) because as much as I enjoyed polishing the underside of the Cossie, and making sure every nut and bolt looked like new, I wanted to go and enjoy the show, not spend all day polishing it again and waiting for someone to eventually get around the examining the car.
I enjoyed looking around the various trade stands, spending time trying to hunt down that bargain, watching the cars on track, and trying to get a few laps after the judging was complete, and if your doing even working class, it makes it impossible to do all three. So I decided to keep my car in concourse condition, but never wanted to enter the actual event. I could see that some cars were better than mine, and some were not as good. But I wasn't willing to miss out on all the other events that were going on, just for the sake of saying " I won a trophy" at whatever event.
Everyone to their own, and I enjoy looking at the concourse cars, it gives you ideas for your own, and the guys are always willing to chat (Cos they're just stood waiting for the judges to turn up.......LOL)
Each to their own............and we do appreciate the work that goes into them...it's just a shame that you have to commit the whole day (Show) to polishing your car and waiting for judging and missing out on all the other good things going on around..........I'd rather be doing other things.
