I have recently purchased a 4 pot AP setup for my focus st170 hubs, however upon trying to fit them i have come in to a few problems.
The kit although brand new was bought second hand via ebay so returning it isn't an option.
I have e-mailed the company who produced it and have had no reply from them and as it was a one off kit i doubt they care either way as they aren't dealing with the original purchaser.
The kit is based upon the use of focus RS brembo grooved disks which are 324x28mm with custom brackets and AP CP5200 808 & 809 S4 calipers.
As you can see from the pictures the focus RS disk fouls the lower ball joint when compared to the original 300x28mm st170 disk.

I have already got to fit a 5mm spacer to the outside of the disk as my existing wheels just touch the face of the caliper when the wheels are fully tightened.
I have tried putting a 5mm spacer behind the disk which does clear the hub but then the caliper mounting bracket is in the wrong position.
The caliper bracket can't be spaced as it needs to come towards the wheel and is bolted behind the knuckle. i wouldn't want to risk machining 5mm of the mounting bracket either.
Ideally i don't want to use any spacers but i think that the focus RS disks have got to go.
Has anybody got any suggestions or advice in which way to proceed with this, i don't want to spend more than around £400-£450 on a set of disks, bells & brackets.
Does anybody know who might be able to get these to fit? If not i'll have to break the kit and sell it seperately as it's not going to fit what it was originally designed for.
Thanks in advance
Steve
