yes but its the most vague price ive ever seen. you would have been better not saying anything until he tells you what type of roof hes got to begin with, then what type of conversion he wants.

his conversion may be no where near 20k.
hes stated could be anything from 20k up whats wrong with that? Theres usually alot of work involved aint as simple as cutting the beams out and laying some floor then bolting a staircase in. I think the fire regs have just changed too now one we did last week had to have a sprinkler system put in as the stairs did not lead directly to an exit or something like that. Alot of money involved.

Id suggest if he wants a price he calls some local builders and ask for a quote
