If everyone in the country would like to send me their 69p, I'll happily do the job for a year or two. How hard can it be to swan around the world in first class or better? It's not like the soldier-boy (following in his fathers tracks?) is going to have to cover much ground in his little tank now, is it?

Mind you, it will take a little time to get used to the smell of fresh paint everywhere!
