hi,
took the cossie out tonite to change the oil and on the way back there were some combine harvesters in the road, so i dipped the clutch to slow down and it cut out, started it back up and it was on 3 cylinders with plumes & plumes of thick white smoke comin out. at first i thort rings or id melted it, but it came back on 4 after a while lots of smoke and the temp was sky high....so my question is, do you think its headgasket, rings or cracked block

. There was no mayonaise on oil cap water didnt look that oily either, but i pulled the dipstick out and oil was really thin. also its a 4 layer gasket...i hear these are pretty difficult to break...
cheers
Dave
