The z-s makes exactly the figure ford gives it in terms of performance so i dont see how they'll be nearly 15% out with peak power fis

Having said that they respond VERY well to any exhaust and cam mods as these are the main restrictions. Standard inlet and airbox is good for 150bhp also
Its been proven on alot of fiesta zetec-s's that they usually make significantly more than officially described. It is believed to have been done so the fiesta would slot into group 8 insurance.
Urban myth, as if 15bhp would make it more likely to be crashed

Most insurance groups are based on claim history of the model, and the cost of repairs.

Proven by what......some rolling roads? on tyres that are subject to different pressures, with a fan, with a guesstimate of the flywheel figures from roll down tests, with different air pressures, inlet temps and humidity.

Much more proof than a closed dyno cell
