Default Is this an Andy Rouse XR4Ti Shell? (more pics added)

Hey,

We have just come across and bought this! Its aparently a "motorsport" shell. It has the airjacking points but no airjacks. it is double skinned and seam welded and it has a 4 point cage!

Here it is! been lying for a few years but it started up with just an airflow meter and some fuel. Unfortunatly the engine and running gear is standard twink stuff.

Snow tyres! wonder how long these will last on my drift car!

8 inch wide on 225 profile

We bought it for the wheels! 7x15 on the front and 8x15 on the back!

I have this info from a previous Deleted post.

It may have history
These are the XR4ti touring cars they ran in the BTCC about 1984 1985 ish. Andy Rouse won the title in 1895 with an XR4ti.

Now then as for LHD check out this pic of Andy Rouses car, More pics of you shell needed

If you look of the passenger side front wing you will see a panel for cut out switches - thats an Andy Rouse shell as thats his trademark, which you will also see on the last car in your pic

It could well be the original shell for the XR4ti he ran before his RS500s

At a guess a lot of the bits like jacks, suspension etc will have been transfered into the early development 3dr cosworths they used until the 500 was homologated in August 87

clean it up and get it on ebay - it may surprise you what it sells for - worth a lot more than the wheels you bought it for Mort de rire

or if someone converted the rear windows to 3dr spec they would have themselves the equivalent of a Rouse RS500 touring car shell.

cheers
