Totally agree with the comments above, especially tabetha. I personally went with a 4x4 as my first cossie as so many 2wd ones get written off and i'm an experienced driver, used to driving 2wd vehicles at high speed in the wet (I had many a hairy moment driving rear wheel drive transits with a heavy cage in the back on blues and twos when I was in uniform). I'd go 4x4 to start with if you can stretch to the extra cost, especially if you aren't planning on going about 330 brake.
