Euan, I see your local, Was the rebuild done locally, I'm only asking as my mate had a rebuild done locally which suffered low oil pressure problems. We traced it down to the pickup pipe being fitted to the oil pump without a gasket. Another sugestion would be a weak spring in the oil pump or the releaf valve sticking open.
