Unfotunately just like nearly every single suspension manufacturer, they have not tested these dampers or spring rates on every single type of car that they sell a kit for, and just give it their "best guess" . Obviously sometimes they get it nearly right, but due to the way the rear trailing arm on a Sierra acts on the spring, they have gone too hard (obviously basing their calculations on the original spring rates). However, you have to understand, that by moving the spring further out, it doesn't need to be so hard due to the increased leverage.

When I get my car back on the road (which should be the end of this month), I'll take you out and you can see the difference in ride quality between mine and yours .
