Same sort of thing happened up here a few years back

He also admitted driving without a licence and without insurance. Prosecutors claimed there was not enough evidence to charge him with driving without due care and attention. Jamie's family wept as they heard the 27-year-old, who should never have been in the country in the first place, would be freed in days after having served time on remand."
