There are plenty of flashy hotels about London mate so shop about. Some of the prices are horrendous! Mum and Dad stayed at the Ritz last month for a night and it was £650 for the night and breakfast was over £30 each I think. Thats weekend abroad money!!!!

I stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hook, Hampshire for 5 days a few weeks back with work and that is real flash, out in the countryside, food was awesome, loads to do, big Spa, indoor pool etc etc... Proper 5 star! Bit cheaper, think rooms are about the £350 a night. Could be more of a romantic place to propose than London?
