do you know if the valves are the same in the black top to the silver top?
I dont think so, I think there is a difference in the number of rings in the valve stems for the collets. IIRC there are 3 grooves in the earlier (silvertop?) valves and only one in the later ones.
However that could all be bollox
so I'd wait and see if anyone tells me I'm wrong
