I'm trying to install a router so I don't have to use this pony wireless adapter thing. It keeps messing around going on and off and I'd rather have the Ethernet shoved in the back and the internet to be on all the time rather than when it suits the adapter.
you don't need drivers for an ethernet router mate, that file will be as i said above, updated firmware (the software and config that the router is running, stored on the chips)
Don't bother fucking about with firmware unless your having serious problems that an updated software build may fix. I've seen many people turn routers into doorstops through flashing firmware when they weren't quite sure what they were doing
