I expect there's a few janitors in the hospital who visit him at night to pour TCP on him - so in all in all a good job he's still alive.

Once halfway recovered I'm sure he won't get any special treatment and will find himself in a Scottish jail with an arse like a clowns pocket.

Their comical attempt at terror speaks volumes as to the intellect of these misguided Jihadists willing to actaully go the distance - the sad part is the number of people who contribute financially to their 'cause' in one way or another - similar to all those Irish Americans who supported the IRA financially, somehow managing to ignore the blood on their hands.

Unfortunately it's a political issue to deal with the backers - and unlike the USA where they could eventually curb the funding and pressure the terorists into forming a democratic party, or Israel/Palestine where democracy brought about a party that was willing to accept a two state solution - this time there are more than a few regimes around the world actively seeking to promote this type of behavious - backing the radicals and tearing Palestine apart, backing terrorists and causing civil war in Africa and Iraq.

What these regimes fail to understand is that they should be thankful that the western world isn't as cold blooded as they are - because if they wanted to they could wipe them out and then take all the oil they wanted from their nuclear wasteland.

Instead they rant and rave with a chip on their shoulder and fund morons to do their dirty work for them.
