Seriously, Get a proper cage Lee. Something FIA approved from Safety Devices/OMP etc. Or if you can afford a custom fitted T45 cage, will be light but mega expensive!

They may not be 'proper' to you big budget boys, but they are FIA approved and proven to be strong in many many crashes in rallying and on the circuits!

If fitted properly they will provide good roll-over protection in my opinion. They may not save the shell in a big accident, or look quite as bling as a custom job. But for road and the occasional track day I think they are a very good option!

When I was looking for a cage for my 205 it was either £3k for a custom full weld in cage with about 1 million bars, or £300 for an OMP one. I looked at plenty of pictures of crashed 205s fitted with OMP/Safety Devices cages and they all stood up well!

If you are going through a forset at 120mph into trees then if would be a different matter
