On the road Rods car will run a quicker quarter than most 10 seconds cars will anyway to be honest.
IMHO the best judge of what makes a fast car is terminal on the quarter.
1.6 60ft's at the pod on mega sticky tyres are a great achievement but have NOTHING to do with real world performance.
I also dont think that top speed runs particuarly have a lot to do with real world performance as they are numbers I simply would NEVER do on a UK road personally.
But quater terminal is genuinely interesting to me with regards to road car performance.
Thats my 2p on what really "makes a fast car"
