Also my webcam, that is pretty old but agian its a labtec job so its pretty popular id imagine, yet it wont work
so i dont think its all down to old hardware and thick users, some cases might be but others arent
But if the software/hardware is pre-vista, then, unless it was designed with vista in mind (which would be only a few months before vista release), then it wont work, unless there is updated software/drivers etc from the maufacturers sites to allow the software and webcam work.
