If your Cav is still in the same condition it was in last time i see it then its not all bad....
Be prepared not to get much more than £300 for it tho, mine only got as high as £550 on Ebay
Advertising in the Auto Trader is free for cars under £1000 iirc, stick it in there for offers around £400, that allows for a little haggling.
But i recall the paint work being really flat and unshiney, unfortunatly the saying 'you can't polish a turd' comes to mind but it done well on those long road trips

So get J to dig his finest cutting polish out and get it gleaming or of course PM Benn who i'm sure will get it looking new - unless you just want rid even if you only get £50 for it.
A polish, a hoover and some general tlc will see if sell in no time at all.
Good tips for the ad are making sure it has a nice long MOT and some tax, as people that buy cheapish cars like something they can drive for a year and then bin.

Oh and the bonnet catch prob just needs some grease on it and working in to release it a bit.
And the only garages that would take a car of that age and mileage are prob main dealers that do the 'Minimum £500 or £1000 for your part ex!!'
