I could be barking up the wrong tree, but how is coating a manifold going to raise the egts as at the velocity the gases are moving on full chat i would not see you getting alot of cooling effect from air over your manifold any way and egts reading would be a truer figure of what is leaving your engine so would be a better indicator of what is going on if there was much of a differance.
