You'll find Diamond Cut's are as popular as Comp Mo's on Saff's. The only problem I had with mine was because the car is lowered 35mm the front drivers side tyre caught the inside of the wheel arch. I am running 215/40 tyres though. Potentially a 205/40 would have prevented the problem.
I can't see that you should have a problem with your steering column as loads of people have these wheels and I've never seen any problem posts.
As for picking up a pair, I'd say to get yourself to the upcoming shows and have a look round the auto jumble. You might find the odd ones here and there that need a refurb. Other than that put a post in the wanted section. perhaps one of the breakers may have odd ones lying around.
