After 4 years of virtually trouble free motoring my big turbo escort refused to start last night whilst parked in Sainsburys car park.
Did notice it sounded even more lumpy when cold than usual when I set off, let her warm up for a couple of mins then made the journey completely off boost. Drove into the car park and it dropped onto what sounded like 2 cylinders, dipped the clutch and give it a bit of a rev and it seemed to clear.
Parked up, did my shopping and came out about 30 mins later and nothing. Turns over fine, oil pressure registers fine on the gauge when winding her over and get a good smell of petrol but does not want to fire at all.
Wont have a chance to look at it till Sunday so any ideas of where I should start. Had the dizzy cap off there and then and all looks in good order, played around with wiring plugs to coil, ign amp, crank sensor etc but still nothing. Engine loom connectors have been soldered up.

Any ideas guys
