there is a way round the tyre wear problem if you lower it 60mm providing your using uprated shocks too.
and that is buy 2 new front lower arms,and where the ball joints sit they are riveted in. Grind the rivets off,take off the joints and cut 15mm off the end of the arm. Then align the ball joint up and drill two new holes (10mm) and put some M10 bolts and nuts through them.
the wheels will now sit at the same camber angle as if it were sitting at standard ride hence no more paying out for tyres every 3000 miles and your boots will last for ages! and yes it wil pass the M.O.T!
