I only give them stick because of how many I have seen that are fucked after a very short time.
IMO it is the result of several things. The CVH Valve-train needs heavy springs to control it and this is only made worse by the poor quality chinese cam followers that Kent and Piper use. This, coupled with poor quality blanks, means the cams don't really stand a chance from the start.
Newman manufacture their followers out of steel bar and have actually put some thought into it and although they are a little agricultural, they do work.
CVH cams will always be a problem, but Newman is certainly the closest I have come to success, however, they don't have a great choice of off-the-shelf profiles. 1 infact, well 1 for CVH and one for ZVH.
